Frequently Asked Questions
Do Queen Anne® products contain glutens?
The only grain-derived ingredient we use is corn syrup. The corn kernel
contains a small amount of gluten in its outer shell. Corn syrup is made
from the starch portion of the kernel after the outer hull is removed.
If any gluten were to remain, it would be very minimal – maybe a few parts
per million. Our flavor supplier, although they will not indicate the exact
ingredients they use, assured us that there is no gluten or grain alcohol
and that the flavors are not made from any ingredients which contain grain
products. To the best of our knowledge, our products do not contain gluten.
However, we cannot guarantee or control our suppliers or the formulas they
use. We therefore, cannot give you absolute assurance that our products
will always be 100% gluten free.
Where can I find Queen Anne® Candy after the holidays?
Queen Anne® Candy can be found all year long at Walgreens, CVS,
Wal-Mart, Kroger, Albertsons and HEB. We're working hard to make them
available by mail order soon. For a complete list of year-round retail
locations check out Where to Find our Products.
Do you have a sugar-free product?
We currently do not have sugar-free versions of Queen Anne®Candy products.
Is chocolate liquor an alcohol?
The chocolate liquor listed in our ingredients is not alcohol, but a
product of the chocolate manufacturing process, and the ingredient
in chocolate that gives it its distinct, recognizable taste.
I’m allergic to nuts, is it okay to eat Queen Anne® Products?
Queen Anne® Cordial Cherries are safe to eat. Check the package on all
other Queen Anne® products. Many are manufactured in facilities that
may produce nut products on shared equipment. We cannot guarantee that
these products are completely free of the proteins that may cause allergic
reactions in people with nut allergies.
What is the hard particle I found in one of the cherries?
Extensive safety measures are taken to ensure that there are no unnatural substances
in any of our products. What you found is likely a piece of a pit. Pits are removed
by a state-of-the art production line. However sometimes a fragment can remain.
They are perfectly natural and safe.
